Black Samsung Galaxy S3 seen running Android 4.1.1 in video

Over the last couple of days some of the lime light has been taken away from the Samsung Galaxy S3 by the launch of its bigger brother the Galaxy Note 2. Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S3 though are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the latest version of the platforms operating system, and today we can tell you that a Black version of the handset has been seen running Android 4.1.1 in a video.

Only yesterday we told you that the wait for the Samsung Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean update was almost over, with the new software expected to land sometime in September, and now as an article over on the Android Authority is reporting it was previously thought that the international Galaxy S3 LTE version would be the first to run Jelly Bean.

Now an unexpected report from Germany has seemingly confirmed this as a short video has been recorded at Vodafone’s booth, and in the video that can be seen below a Black version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 can be seen running the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

This version of the smartphone is thought to available to consumers in the region sometime in the not too distant future, and will run the latest version of Google’s operating system straight out of the box. While there are no specific dates for the new software for the various versions of the Galaxy S3, owners of the device can look forward to having the new operating system in the coming weeks.

The handset continues to sell well around the world despite the fact we could be only weeks away from a new version of the Apple iPhone becoming available, and in many people’s eyes this is why Apple is gunning for Samsung for allegedly breaking patents.

Do you have the Samsung Galaxy S3?
