CoD Black Ops 2, iPad release should happen

Mobile technology has improved a great deal in the last couple of years with hardware becoming more powerful, with processors that can handle the most complex tasks thrown at them, and the displays have also got so much better. This has seen popular gaming franchises being released on mobile platforms, and it makes you think if a CoD Black Ops 2 iPad release should happen.

We now see the likes of the FIFA franchise being released onto mobile platforms, but the Call of Duty franchise from Activision is arguably much bigger. There will be millions of gamers who will be getting Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 next month when it is released for the available home consoles and PCs.

Obviously there are some Call of Duty titles available on Android and iOS such as Black Ops Zombies, but if the developers could release a version of the main annual release onto mobile platforms, which would see the company achieve even more sales and also please many gamers.

The latest version of the Apple iPad should easily be able to cope with the demands a Call of Duty game would place on it, and the graphics would probably look stunning on that Retina Display. Black Ops 2 is being released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 13th, while the new Nintendo Wii U is set to get the game five days later.

It may be the case that Activision doesn’t think they can justify the game on the device as the Zombies title was a bit of a letdown in some user’s eyes, and has received mixed reviews. The various developers responsible for the Call of Duty titles each year may not have the time or resources to develop the game for mobile platforms.

What do you think do you think we will ever see a version of the annual Call of Duty release coming to the iPad or other mobile devices?
