Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 2 release date may be a while yet

In some regions the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has been available for almost a month now, with the device receiving great reviews from owners and critics alike. Meanwhile consumers in the US have been left twiddling their thumbs waiting for the device to arrive on their shores. Things are getting closer though but the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 2 release date may be a while yet.

The handset has already gone up for pre-order on the major carriers in the US that include the likes of AT&T and Verizon, and selling on rivals such as T-Mobile and Sprint, but with regards to Big Red the carrier has been only said the device will be available in the coming weeks despite the pre-orders going live. As Droid Life is reporting according to the process of pre-ordering the device it will begin shipping on November 27th.

Now though a leaked internal document is suggesting that the carrier will not be stocking the Galaxy Note 2 in its stores until November 29th, in either Marble White or Titanium Grey. This will make Verizon the last major US carrier to offer its customers the Note 2.

Both T-Mobile and Sprint are already providing the handset to consumers either online or in their brick and mortar stores, and rival carrier AT&T is expected to have the device available on November 9th. Maybe the delay has something to do with the fact the Verizon version has the carrier’s logo on the home button, which we reported recently.

A number of other sources have suggested the Galaxy Note 2 will become available from Verizon on the 29th of November. This news comes after we recently told you that T-Mobile customers picking up the device were getting the nice surprise that a future update would provide support for the carriers LTE network once it is up and running.

Are you disappointed that Verizon are making you wait longer for the Galaxy Note?

I’m enraged that Verizon is arrogant (home button logo) and forces their customers to wait. I bet we have to wait so they can put those stupid home button logos on. Also, don’t get me started on their customer service -_- best in class, my shoe. Terrible business move Verizon.

I won’t call them “big red” but maybe big red tape. I hope they surprise us and release the note 2 MUCH sooner than we suspect.

Yes very disappointing all for a logo on front knowing there’s one on the back ..biggest phone company and yet we have to wait while others enjoy ..

URGGGGGG. Not very happy with VZ right now… :/ First there’s the stupid logo on the home button. And now they won’t ship for a month.. I wish this was a bad joke, and they are actually launching it same as AT&T and withOUT the logo… *sigh*

Verizon is like Qwest used to be in the west and they need to remember that. You wont monopolize this industry forever. The day they are no longer on top is the day they are going to wish they were a little more customer responsive and not so focused on policing the Phones WE buy/ OWN. Quite frankly their phone line sucks and the strict standards vs what you can do with the likes of At&T is so old already. If it weren’t strictly for coverage issues Id already be gone.

I actually checked out t-mobile for this very reason (after pre-ordering on verizon). I ended up finding a MUCH cheaper small business rate plan on t-mobile and getting my note. The speeds on t-mobiles HPSA+ were FASTER than Verizon’s speeds when I just checked in a Verizon store (although verizon’s LTE upload speeds were faster.) Just saying, if you can check out tmobile. Small businesses can get 5GB 4G data and 1000 minutes for $40 a month. Tethering is $10 more. KILLS prices on Verizon and AT&T.

Yes very disappointing!! Another disappointing issue is the fact for existing costumers with unlimited data now need to change plans(basically) or to keep the unlimited the phone needs to be purchase at the regular price (around $650) AT&T is not doing that!!!!

The Verizon delay is nothing new. They are ALWAYS LATE! It is a major improvement for them just to carry something cutting edge. It really is too bad that they truly best network is always so far behind on truly great phones.

I hope that Samsung will release the note 2 with Net 10 as the carrier, because other than Boost mobile NOBODY beats net 10. $50.00 a month unlimited everything.

Very disappointed, Verizon is the number one Carrie yet they are very slow out of the gate. I don’t get why they hold back when the competition jumps out in front quickly. This is a crossbread cell to a tablet, people love new and different and also functional. Don’t hold back Verizon push it out, or you will lose people to the other side
