Motorola Atrix HD Developer Edition incoming: Update

Recently we have seen old Motorola deliver a few developer editions of certain devices such as the RAZR M and RAZR HD, and now it appears that a developer edition of the Motorola Atrix HD is on its way to the mobile space. The company has now put up a page on their website touting the arrival of their latest upcoming offering.

Probably the big draw with developer edition handsets is that they come with an unlockable bootloader, along with instructions on just how to unlock the device shown on the makers website. However obviously if you do unlock the bootloader, the phone’s warranty will be voided.

But if you do decide to opt for the Motorola Atrix HD Developer Edition, then you probably aren’t too worried about that warranty anyway.

As for how much the developer edition of the Motorola Atrix HD will set you back, or when it will be released, that little piece of information hasn’t been revealed just yet; however you can enter your details to be further notified about the Android smartphone.

One can assume though that the developer edition of the Android device will cost more than the regular version, and of course the device wont be offered as a subsidized handset, so expect to pay the full retail price once it becomes available.

Just in case you need a reminder, the handset sports a 4.5-inch HD ColorBoost touch screen, along with a 1.5GHz Snapdragon dual core processor, 8 megapixel rear facing auto-focus camera with LED flash, 1080p video, a 1.3 megapixel front facing snapper, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 1780mAh battery and microSD expansion up to 32GB.
