Samsung Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean Odex and Deodex Rom for Verizon
There are many Samsung Galaxy S3 owners still waiting on the Android Jelly Bean update, and there was a leak not so long ago for the Jelly Bean update on this handset on Verizon. Now we all know that in the UK many Vodafone, O2 and Three customers received their 4.1.1 update, look at our photo we took below showing our O2 unlocked SGS3 running this update.
Anyway back to the latest news, it looks like the official Verizon Jelly Bean update is getting closer and Android Authority are reporting about a poster about the leaked firmware and that this could indeed be the finished OTA update for Verizon users.
We reported 2 days ago that AT&T customers may get their Android 4.1.1 update any day now with Verizon following shortly after, this is the case of sit back and wait patiently. For now let us talk about a new ROM that comes in either Odex and Deodex, there is a new guide on how to install this onto your Samsung Galaxy S3, but we do WARN you that if you have no clue in what you are doing then expect very naughty things to happen. Personally we say steer clear of this if you are a novice, we are not trying to dishearten anyone but we always suggest waiting for the official Jelly Bean update.
The Stock rooted Odex and Deodex VRBLJ1 Jelly Bean leak ROM is suggested to be the final build and in that we mean OTA, we here at Phones Review have no idea if this is the case. The main features include Odex or De-Odex, Rooted, init.d support, Busybox, zip aligned and adb as root. For more information and how to please visit XDA Developers.
Another thing we saw over at XDA Developers was a stock Jelly Bean factory images with Root, unlocked bootloader, custom recovery and no data wipe. There is a new working guide for public use that will apparently help flash 99-percent stock factory image for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3, the is also a small mod included that provides optional flashes and these include: Adding Superuser/SU (Rooting your ROM), Flashing ClockworkMod or TWRP Recovery and Unlocking your Bootloader, this does come with a minor warning.
