Nokia Lumia 920 on AT&T for sub-$50 price tag

Well now, if you happen to be a Windows Phone fan over in the good old US of A, and have had your eye on the Nokia Lumia 920 on the AT&T network, but haven’t yet got round to snapping up the smartphone, perhaps you would like to purchase the Lumia 920 for half the price of what AT&T is asking.

AT&T offers the Nokia Lumia 920 on contract with a price tag of $99; however, according to an article over on Wpcentral, if you visit the Walmart website, you can snap up the AT&T branded Nokia Lumia 920 for just $49.99 rather than that $99.

Of course when purchasing the Nokia Lumia 920 at that $49.99 price, you will be required to sign your life away to the carrier for the usual two-year agreement, but if you have been contemplating jumping aboard Windows Phone, then this seems like a sweet deal.

However, if you want the Lumia 920 as an off contract smartphone, then Walmart isn’t the place to go, as they have an off contract price tag for the device at a whopping $699, which is quite a bit more expensive than going to AT&T, who are asking $449.99 for the handset off contract.

For that sub-50 bucks the Nokia Lumia 920 offers the customer a 4.5-inch IPS PureMotion HD touch screen, an 8 megapixel rear facing auto-focus camera with dual LED flash and Carl Zeiss optics, 1080p video, and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, LTE connectivity, and a 1.5GHz Snapdragon dual core processor.

So there you have it, if you have been after the Nokia Lumia 920 on AT&T, and want it on contract for cheaper then the place to go is Walmart. Will any of our US readers be taking advantage of this lower price for the Windows Phone?

Got this phone at AT&T store yesterday. The Price that they charge for the phone is actually only $50.99, BUT they charge you an additional $49 for the wireless charger that they claim is “free gift”, so total comes to $99.99 (still a bargain for a great phone though).

the $449 is still on-contract as you cannot use it unless you have a AT&T

sim. Its an existing customer or new customer price just no directly associated plan
