Verizon HTC DROID DNA made official unboxing to come before release

Screen sizes of smartphones have gradually been getting larger recently but also offering better quality at the same time. Last year the original Samsung Galaxy Note set the benchmark with regards to size at 5.3-inch, but HTC are set to reveal a sizeable handset of their own on US carrier Verizon, and now the HTC DNA has seemingly been made official with an unboxing to come before release.

There has been numerous leaks regarding the HTC DNA that recently included some images of retail marketing, but Verizon is responsible for the latest leak as according to SlashGear the carrier has revealed the handset will be the main attraction at its press event on November 13th.

The upcoming handset was the centre of attention on the carriers own DROID DOES website, and Verizon promised there will be a pre-release unboxing of the handset taking place via a Google+ Hangout on November 19th.

In the meantime the evleaks Twitter account has leaked what seems to be the final design of the DROID DNA device with the front and back being on show. The images that can be seen below show the handset with Beats Audio branding and also confirm the handset will feature 4G LTE compatibility.

The company is continuing its trend of using physical buttons for controlling the multitasking, back, and home options instead of using the Google Nexus trend of software controls. The specifications of the DROID DNA are thought to follow the HTC J Butterfly that was recently launched in Japan, with the biggest appeal likely to be the 5-inch 1080p Full HD touchscreen.

Other suggestions are pointing to a device powered by a quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, and coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of on board storage that can be expanded further via microSD card.

Are you going to get the HTC DROID DNA?
