Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100 HyperNote ROM looks exciting

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is one of the most talked-about smartphones of the moment. Sometimes described as a ‘phablet’ because of its large display, the Note 2 (Note II) has sold in huge numbers already. Today we have news for those who like to customize their devices, as a new GT-N7100 HyperNote ROM is now available that looks pretty exciting.

The new ROM for the Galaxy Note 2 is claimed to be lighter as it’s only 243 MB and also faster because it’s established on XXALJ3 Android Jelly Bean, so we reckon there will plenty of real Android enthusiasts who want to check this one out. As usual at Phones Review we cannot recommend the use of custom ROMS to our readers. Nevertheless we know that many of our readers enjoy the freedom of customizing their devices so continue to bring you news on this.

Details of the HyperNote ROM came to us from Android Authority and the developer behind it is a member of XDA Developers, kristofpetho. A look at the XDA Developer thread also appears to show some screenshots for you to look at. We must stress that this new HyperNote ROM is only for use with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, model number GT-N7100 so please don’t be tempted to try it with any other device. Also if you decide to use the HyperNote ROM then the risk and responsibility is entirely your own and it comes with no guarantees that the instructions will work.

If you decide to flash the HyperNote ROM then full requirements and instructions are also shown at the Android Authority link above. For starters you’ll need a Galaxy Note 2 installed with ClockworkMod recovery, USB cable and download files (links all available through Android Authority above). You should also ensure that you have at a least 75% of your battery charge free and back up all your personal data before beginning. The 9 step-by-step instructions that are available then detail everything you need to do to successfully install the HyperNote ROM. Remember to read through the full requirements and instructions first before attempting to flash the ROM.

We’d really like to hear from readers who decide to intall HyperNote for the Galaxy Note 2. Maybe you’ve already installed this ROM and could let us know what you think of the result? If you decide to attempt flashing the ROM now we’d like to know if everything went smoothly for you so let us have your comments on this.
