Lenovo IdeaPhone P770 vs Motorola Razr Maxx in power

Smartphone technology has advanced at an amazing rate in the last couple of years with many of us now carrying around what are basically mobile computers that can also make and receive calls, but some users of certain handsets experience poor battery life. Today though we are comparing the Lenovo IdeaPhone P770 against the Motorola Razr Maxx in a battle to see what handset has the best power.

The Motorola Razr Maxx has long been known to offer users a great battery performance from its 3,300 mAh unit, but there is a new kid in town now called the Lenovo IdeaPhone P770. We first told you about the upcoming handset from the company earlier this month but the device has now gone up on the Lenovo Chinese website.

It features a 4.5-inch IPS touchscreen display with a resolution of 960 x 540 that is powered by a 1.2GHz dual core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. Other features include a five megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash, VGA front facing shooter, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G, and the main selling point will be the 3,500 mAh Li-Po battery unit that is claimed will provide up to 29 hours of talk time or 26 days of standby time.

This is packed into a chassis that measures 133mm x 67mm x 11.9mm weighing only 161 grams, and the device is available in China now priced at 1,699 CNY which is aroun€200, but it is not known if and when the Lenovo P770 will venture into other regions.

It compares to the Motorola Razr MAXX that features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. Under the hood is also a dual core processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM, and camera wise you will find an eight megapixel rear shooter with a 1.3 megapixel unit on the front.

The all important 3,300 mAh battery pack is promised to provide users with up to 21.5 hours of talk time and 380 hours of standby. It has to be remembered though that while these two handsets promise better battery life, when compared to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 that ships with a 3,100 mAh battery that provides good time between charges while having a more feature packed handset they don’t look so good.

Do you like the look of the Lenovo IdeaPhone P770?
