Oppo Find 5 USA price, specs and conference event

There was a time that the Apple iPhone was the only handset at the centre of numerous leaks and teases leading up to its unveiling, but now all manner of devices are being leaked on the Internet. The Oppo Find 5 is one such device that has seen numerous leaks and speculation emerging, and now we have news on the USA price and specs ahead of the conference event where the device will makes its debut.

Only last month we told you that the device will finally be unveiled at an event on December 12th in Beijing, and now the company has put up a webpage detailing the handsets specifications along with a SIM free price for consumers in the US. The device will be going up against the recently released HTC DNA and offer consumers a smartphone with a 5-inch 1080p Full HD display.

There was a time that it was thought the Oppo 5 will only reach the Chinese market but the company has the device down to cost US consumers $499 SIM free, and compatible with the likes of T-Mobile AT&T and Simple Mobile in the country.

The features that Oppo has listed have been speculated about before but it’s always nice to hear something from the company themselves. The 5-inch display as already reported will offer a 1080p resolution with a massive 441ppi pixel density and under the hood will be a quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro chip clocked at 1.5GHz.

Corning’s Gorilla Glass 2 will be protecting that lovely screen and there is also 2GB of RAM running the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system, and other features include Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, DLNA, and HSPA+ support with a 2,500 mAh battery unit providing all the juice.

With the event taking place a week today we can expect to find out more details about the Oppo 5’s availability and pricing for other regions around the world. What do you make of the Oppo 5?
