Android 4.1.2 JB update hitting international Galaxy Note 2

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is one real popular handset for the Korean company, and if you happen to own the international version of the device, (the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100) you just might be very pleased to learn that old Sammy is now officially rolling out the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update to your smartphone/tablet combo.

A report over on Sam Mobile has it that Samsung is now pushing out the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update version JZ054K to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100, however owners may not be able to update their device immediately due to the company rolling out the update in stages.

As such the Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 update for the international Galaxy Note 2 might not be available in your country or on your network at the moment, but rest assured the update is on its way.

The Jelly Bean update will deliver such niceties to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 as new additions in notification toggles, the ability to disable multi-view, a new Ink effect on the lock screen (video below), the notifications panel can now be customised, the browser will be smoother, the ability to disable the brightness slider in the notifications panel, the status bar has now been changed from grey to black, and there is a new Group Cast app.

Apparently the Android Jelly Bean update will be available both over the air or via Samsung Kies, so you can keep an eye out for the update notification or check with the Kies software. According to the report the update is available in Poland as of today, whilst other regions are pending.

So there you have it, if you own the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100 handset and if you haven’t already gained the Jelly Bean update, it shouldn’t be too long before you do.

Any of our Note 2 owning readers already received this update?

Good video but being that this phone is some what of a tablet, you should show the office functions if any and how they work on this phone but overall it was a great video. Thank You
