Snapseed app for incredible photography

Apart from informing our readers about all of the latest devices we also enjoy bringing you news on some of the best apps around. If you enjoy photography you may have already heard of Snapseed, a mobile photography app that has received high praise. The app has just been revised for the iOS and Android platforms and can give users an incredible photography experience.

Snapseed is available from the App Store or Google Play and you can see the download links further below. It was awarded iPad App of the Year 2011 as well as Best Mobile Photo App of 2012 by TIPA, so comes highly recommended. Snapseed offers a really high-quality photo experience and is simple to use to improve your photos with digital photography software with exceptionally advanced features. The app also makes it easy to share your photos with others.

Users have Auto Correct to adjust photos with a single tap, Tune Image for tweaking, Selective Adjust that can be used to enhance areas or objects, and also filters such as Drama, Vintage, Grunge and Tilt-Shift. You can also add frames for that complete finish and finally why not share your efforts via built-in sharing methods such as Google+ and email. Other features include Straighten & Rotate, easy cropping and the ability to open photos or take new photos from the Camera Roll.

Snapseed Version 1.5 for iOS which arrived in the last few days, has a new icon, brings the Google+ sharing function, the Retrolux filter for a truly retro look and also an updated frames filter and best of all the app is now free! The iOS app can be found at iTunes here and is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd, 4th and 5th generation), and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later. It is also optimized for the iPhone 5.

Snapseed for Android is also a free app and is compatible with devices running Android 4.0 (ICS) or later. It is available at Google Play here although the recent latest version 1.4.1 may not bring all of the changes that the iOS app update above brings. We think Snapseed from Nik Software will appeal to many of our readers and now that it’s a free app what’s to stop you trying it out to see what it can do?

Are you now going to try the Snapseed mobile photography app? If so let us know what you think. Maybe you already use Snapseed and can recommend it, or not, to our readers? Let us know with your comments.
