Samsung Galaxy Note 3 & S4 specs to electrify

Of course the next devices expected to come out of the Samsung camp is the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 extending their hugely popular and successful line of Galaxy Android devices. When it comes to the Galaxy S4 the rumour is old Sammy could possibly launch the handset after the Google guys announce the next big update to Android, currently being called Key Lime Pie, whilst some believe the SGS4 will release with Key Lime Pie aboard.

When it comes to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, rumour has it that there is a possibility that the Note 3 could come out sporting Samsung’s new unbreakable flexible display tech, the same tech has also been rumours for the Samsung Galaxy S4.

However of course we don’t really know what both devices will offer the mobile space just yet, nor do we know what each device will look like. So what we have for your consideration today is a Samsung Galaxy S IV concept and a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 concept which come our way courtesy of Concept-Phones.

So let’s kick things off with that Samsung Galaxy S IV concept which has been designed by Victor Monteiro of Brazil. He designs the Galaxy S 4 with an elongated shape sporting a 4.8-inch ‘HyperAMOLED’ 1080p touch screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

This Galaxy S IV would come packing a 12 megapixel rear facing auto-focus BSI snapper with zero shutter lag and flash, along with a 4 megapixel front facing camera, and the handset will be an 8 core device sporting an Exynos 5X2 chipset, a 2GHz Cortex A10 quad core chip and a 1.5GHz Cortex A9 quad core chip along with MaliX 500 graphics processor.

The concept SGS IV would be made of brushed aluminum and Kevlar fibre, whilst the device would be running Android Jelly Bean 4.2, Nature 2.0 UI and would be the first Galaxy S handset lacking a home button.

Moving on to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the device is a concept by Erica Yusim, and this Note 3 concept has the device sporting a 5.8-inch FHD Super AMOLED touch screen, a processor called a bigLITTLE processor which apparently means the smartphone/tablet combo will have 8 cores sporting both a 1.4GHz Cortex A7 quad core processor and a 2GHz Cortex A15 quad core processor.

The concept Samsung Galaxy Note 3 would also have 3GB of RAM along with 32GB up to 128GB of ROM, and also sport microSDXC expansion up to 128GB. On the rear there would be a 13 megapixel snapper and on the front a 3 megapixel snapper, would run Android Key Lime Pie, and sport a 4000mAh battery and all being housed in an 8.9mm thick housing, and of course would sport the S Pen functionality.

So there you have it, what do our readers think about these concepts of the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3?

S4 looks bad, Note 3 ok, but not particularly different. Although the screen on Note 3 should definitely be 6.1-6.3″, not 5.8″ because less than 0,3″ increase is not that significant of an upgrade. I also think 6.3″ would be the upper limit for a phone/phablet.

I already am saving my money for samsung galaxy note 3. I will psss on the note 2 since i am still deeply inlove with my pink note. Hurry up Samsung please.

I’m not smiling with samsung, they’re stupid if the s4 rumor is true, about screen size. Don’t they realize that every maker, amateur and professional, is launching at least a 5”screen size, even starters! So why would they be keeping the s4 under 5”? They’re like Sprint!! In view of the stiff competition, they should absolutely come big and bold every time, or else, they’re gonna lose the s4’s fame next year, because right now there are phones out there with better hardware and as fast as or faster speed, not to mention better cameras, cosmetics, screen resolution and depth. COME BIG EVERY TIME, THAT’S THE ONLY WAY TO STAY AHEAD OF THE COMPETITION, PUT EVERY POSSIBLE CAPAPABILITY IN THE PHONES, ESPECIALLY FOR THE USA GLOBAL SETS. MAKE ALL OF THE US GALAXY WITH PERMANENT SWAPABLE MICRO SIM SLOTS, BECAUSE SOME CARRIERS ESPECIALLY SPRINT, KEEPS ALTERING THE THE SYSTEM AND EMBEDDING THE SIM CARD, MAKING IT IRREMOVABLE. THIS IS ON GOING FOR EVERY WORLD FAMOUS PHONE, AND TRAVELERS ENCOR HUGE COSTS IN ROAMING FEES, WHEN THEY USE SPRINT PHONES ABROAD. I WAITED FOR TWO YEARS, FOR AN UPGRADE TO GALAXY TOUCH, THE S, THE S 2, THE S 3 AND ONLY TO BE DISSAPOINTED BY SPRINT CHANGING THE GLOBAL CAPABILITIES, THE WAY THE PHONE WAS MADE TO BE USED. EVENT THE NOTE 2 WAS DISFIGURED, I AM GIVING SPRINT ONE LAST CHANCE TO STOP BEING UNFAIR AND SELFISH TO THE MILLIONS OF US WHO WANT THE WORLD’S GREATEST PHONES TO BE SOLD WITH SWAPABLE SIM CARD, ESPECIALLY BUSINESS PEOPLE WHO TRAVEL, WE DON’T WANT TO BUY EXTRA PHONES TO CARRY, WE WANT ONE WORLD CLASS PHONE TO WORK LOCALLY AND ABROAD THANK YOU.

    1. It’s just a phone. Relax. Dunno what happened between sentences 5 and 6, if your wife left you in an instant or something, but you’ve gotta chill. The world will still be spinning even if Samsung doesn’t “come big” like you want them to, though I think they are doing quite well and making rather bold phones.

      1. AARON says:

I don’t think you understand what you’re saying. The desire to have the world’s most coveted device remain a winner, should be the anthem of every GALAXY lover, and there are two types of mental thoughts; one thinks that small incremental improvements in some areas, is just fine, but the other knows that he wants to remain loyal to the GALAXY LINE, therefore, he wouldn’t want another brand to dethrone THE REIGNING KING. Companies depend largely on public opinions about their business and products. We buy the products and put them on top, so whenever we desire the best from them, annually, it tells them that we care about what they’re making and selling. If a majority of galaxy supporters become disgruntled, you can bet every penny, that Samsung and Sprint will get busy and follow the lead of the customers advocate, they’re the experts who keep us informed 24hrs a day about every digital gadget, testing, approving, advising and warning the stubborn self-willed maker that the customer comes first ignore them and you’ll surely lose em .. AND ” WIFE LEAVING ” has no place in this discussion, IT’S JUST BUSINESS MY FRIEND: THANK YOU…

making the s4 a little bigger is perfect. the wont make it 5’0 b because if you really want 5 inch phone than might as well get the note 2.. the gs3 and gs4 4.8in is the limit for a cell phone size. once you reach 5inch there is really no point and you might as well get the note at that point. also the note 3 screen size of 5.8 would alsmo make a lot of sense. remember if they use a little less bezzle it could be the same size as the note 2. both great ideas from samsung. I just dont see any point of buyin g a 5inch phone.

      1. ronf57 says:

well then the bigger phone/device is not for you. But from one week after i got the S3 i wished i had a much bigger phone/device. actually I sometimes wonder if a 7″ tablet size is too small for me and my usage model of ONE device to do everything. One can dream can’t one.

    3. Nik Kakolesha says:

In the US, Sprint has the first “world” phone in Motorola Photon 4G. I agree with you, Aaron; Sprint should bring Note 3 with swapable SIM card like they did with Motorola Photon 4G; a true GSM smartphone. I hate to go back to AT&T or T-Mobile (who sell GSM phones).

      1. @lloydcata says:

The Department of Homeland Security does not ‘approve’ of -consumers- having swappable SIM cards. Sorry, its a security issue that would take too long to explain, but it has to do with ‘activation UID’. These phones are readily swappable which is a security headache. That is why ATT(gov’t comms) wants to buy T-Mobile and deplete that SIM technology base of devices. It really becomes a ‘problem’ when traveling internationally using SIM devices, and that’s why our friend complains about Sprint International.

    4. Doofus McGee says:

I don’t know what “BUSINESS” you’re in, but I bet grammar, punctuation and spelling are not prerequisites. Your brazen disregard for the utilization of spehl czech is obviously one of your strong suits. I’m equally impressed with the dynamics of your typed word. Starting with the coherence of a thoughtful voice, then catapulting into an all out assault by way of your gluttonous use of CAPITALIZATION, hits fast and hard akin only to the “storm” following the “calm.” It’s apparent that Sprint is the fuel to your fire, or, at the very least the angst behind your wail.

The “Comment” section of most internet based articles is generally rife with the well-intentioned, but slovenly purposed objections, but it is rare that such opinion stands at least .3 to .5 inches above all others. Why, after reading your ‘-orial’ (‘edit-‘ optional), I was stunned into submission, your prose overpowering me to respond with such adulation that I could barely muster the concentration to read with the same awed examination, Patrick’s obviously insulting retort. You, Aaron, stand high atop the mountain, uncompromising and damning the language of FREEDOM — American English. Pray that we may all learn to appreciate your willing participation in the delivery of idiocy, the dumbing down of society’s most vocal and the ability to write so incoherently, yet so embarrassingly poetic. I shrivel in disingenuous humility upon this contentious html coded text before you.

Not liking the s4 look looks too much like shitty I phone 5 but as always these concept looks come out when a galaxy or I phone is due and they never look anything like the actual phone so let’s wait and see

  5. Kelle says:

I dont think S4 will be like that but the specs are good. I will save my money for the Note 3 as I like the look of it and the specs too. I also dont like theS4 and even more with no home button.

  6. duff60901 says:

So how bad is the US version going to suck? Oh and lets not forget big red will have a shot at screwing up the software AND the outside. Can’t wait for another crap phone because it doesn’t say iMoto…

    1. Jimmy Drew says:

Ok, I am with you on that..and I have heard that one manufacturer is actually looking at a battery that can be re-charged by being touched by the human body. Anyway, to me, battery life is the main improvement that is needed…having to plug your phone every night is ridiculous.

  7. Jonathan Aguilar says:

Well this is good for the next Galaxy models but what Im expecting for, aside from speeding up the processor and increasing the megapixels of the camera is the additional interface capabilities to other devices. like a ready VGA connection for projectors. Instead of bringing laptops for multimedia presentation, the galaxy will become a very useful tool. Another feature that can be added to the galaxy is the capability to become a satellite phone. No connection to remote areas will be a thing of the past. Think about it, don’t just dwell on increasing the phone capacity, add more new features that will be very useful!!!!!!!…

  8. TabbyBoy says:

I’m still happy with my Nokia 6310i As I only need it for calls/texts and it’s 7 day battery life!. Internet can wait until I can be bothered to turn my PC on a t home. These smart phones are getting a bit silly now.

  9. Jimmy Drew says:

I love my Note 2 and probably will anti up for the Note 3. I really like the size of the Note 2 and the only improvement I can see is battery life. Most phones out there have faster enough processors. And have enough memory…what we don’t have is extended battery life. While my Note 2 gives me a solid 12 hours of use…I want more..at least 24 hours of use…do that and we won’t need to change phones every year. Do you remember when phones last 10 years or more!!! 😉 Give me my Note 2 and improve the battery life and I am good for another five year’s.

I’m with at&t but I understand what Aaron is saying and I AGREE! If I’m gon’ spend big$$$$ 4a device it better knock its predecessor out the box!! Most importantly huge upgrades are what keep consumers coming back 4 the product… the#1 goal is to give the consumers something that the competition ain’t got!
