Facebook Phone aka HTC Myst Specs only been tweeted

#

For what seems like ages now we have heard rumours of social networking giant Facebook producing a smartphone, and while we have seen a couple of handsets that have dedicated Facebook buttons, nothing else has ever emerged from the company. Now though new rumours have surfaced of a Facebook phone going under the name of the HTC Myst, with specs being tweeted.

Despite the company constantly denying they were working on a dedicated Facebook smartphone rumours continue to rumble on, and recently a tweet appeared that seemingly gives the specifications of an HTC handset that will carry Facebook branding.

The smartphone is listed to have a 4.3-inch 720p touchscreen display powered by a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1GHz, and paired with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of built in storage running the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

On the back will be a five megapixel camera while around the front is a 1.6 megapixel unit, and there is also Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity. While it is thought the handset will have complete Facebook integration there will also be a dedicated Facebook button to take users straight into the sites application.

HTC has provided us in the past with smartphones that focus on the social networking site with the ChaCha and Salsa, with the CHaCha that came running the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with a physical QWERTY keyboard, but didn’t exactly set the world on fire in terms of sales.

Do you think we will be seeing a dedicated Facebook phone or do you think this is just a replacement for the HTC ChaCha?
