Both the Micromax A116 Canvas HD and the Lava XOLO A1000 have only recently become available to consumers to purchase, and both the handsets have some worthy specifications.

The most important difference between these two phones is its GPU. The GPU of A1000 is weaker in comparison to the A116. In other words the prospect of gaming in A1000 is very bleak after driving a HD resolution, while in case of A116 it is not so.

These phones are constructed using defective and rejected parts of samsung, nokia and other phone manufacturers. The chances of fault development in these phones is very high and for me they just a waist of money.

You left out an important point. The Xolo CPU may be dual core 1 Ghz but it’s a Cortex A9 compared to Canvas’s quad-core 1.2 Ghz Cortex A7. So there may not be much difference in performance given the superiority Cortex A9 enjoys over A7.

      i agree bro

Today only i purchase xolo1000 from a local dealer, bit confused with the samsung grand and xolo1000, got a chance to have a look of xolo 1000 get totally flaten up with the look and finaly decide to purchase a xolo1000. came to home and instantly installed temple run 2. game was running with the lag, thought must be the problem with the compatabily. then installed temple run 1 running with the lots of lag. then finally decided to run homerun battle 3d which works fine on my galaxy y. it was also showing the lag during the play then i come to know that some thing is wrong with this handset, cos having a dual core processor with one gb ram. in which more than 500 mb remain free always.
then i decided to do some benchmarks and the reality comes in front of me. the scores are as follows

      Quadrant Benchmark : 2650
Nenamark 2: 17.1 frames per second( playing game is impossible)
      multi touch : 5

then i come to know its not possible to play any game on this handset
Really got a feeling of folled by the specification. handset have a killer look and a good specs, but good for nothing.

all friends please beware…. think before buying this product. other wise you have to regret like me

if your money is hard earned dont go for this handset

i am lucky that i have purchased this handset from the local dealer. who agreed to return the handset i lieu of vat 1000rs other wise i have a total loss of 12500 rs

I am writing this review just to save hard earned money of others.

Love Xolo A1000. Looks amazing, the touch is damn smooth, and doesn’t lag a bit, gets things done quickly and without a hassle.

The 8MP camera is also quite good, doesn’t take great pictures at night, but I guess that’s with every camera out there. The battery life is quite decent, lasts me a whole day with heavy usage.
