Samsung Galaxy S4 & Note 3 in Release Most Wanted Debate

#

Two Android smartphones, one major manufacturer, new announcements and release dates, put all these together and we have the Samsung Galaxy S4 & Note 3 in release most wanted debate. We will not go on like a stuck record about this, so we will give a few details on what we know so far about the two upcoming Android devices and then ask you the big question.

March 14th is the rumoured date the Samsung Galaxy S4 will debut, with an April release date. On the specs front the S4 is said to have a 13-megapixel camera, 5-inch full (1080p) HD display, the possibility of up to a 1.9 GHz quad-core processor, eye-tracking technology such as “eye scroll” and “eye pause”. Looking at the S4 specs we believe that either the Exynos 5 Octa processor or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, just a thought.

Realistically the specs on the S4 could come with a 5-inch Full HD screen, 16GB of storage, microSD card slot, 1.5 GHz Exynos 5 Octa processor (8 core), 1080p video recording, 13-megapixel camera, 2800 mAh battery, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean or Key Lime Pie and 2 GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on the other hand will be the bigger boy with a 6.3-inch display with 1920 x 1080 resolutions, Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, 2 GB RAM, eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor, cannot really tell you much more as information is scarce and we are not here to reel off a load of specs for the fun of it.

Anyway, the bottom line is the question we would love for you all to answer. This is the “Samsung Galaxy S4 & Note 3 in Release Most Wanted Debate” So the simple question is “Are you waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S4 or the Samsung Galaxy Note 3?”

I was getting the Note 2 now, then paused for the release date of the Note 3. Really sensational stuff in the Note 3. Now with all the buzz about S4 and the release next month… I am stuck. Should I forego the 1.3 inches of extra screen with the dual app window functionality and get a slightly smaller powerhouse way sooner..? Likely the one that happens first will win…

My wife has the Note and loves it (so do I). I was pondering a Note 2 to replace rooted Inspire HD, but now will wait for the Note 3. I want the big screen to be a one-device guy.

Note III will have everything Galaxy S IV has, plus the bigger screen, battery and stylus, of course. It will probably look very similar too. So, Note III it is.

Can’t see myself not getting frustrated with the exceeding inferiority of any phone that doesn’t have the functionality of the Note II with the S pen, so I’m definitely waiting for the Note III. I hope it comes with key lime pie, but that will of course depend on how quickly Google makes it available.

I have a SGSIII but it’s been gathering dust since I got my Note II. I plan on selling it or giving it to a friend as soon as I get a Note III, then the Note II will be my backup phone

Depends on size and weight and price people can choose between these two that honestly have higher quality than iphone5! I myself like the larger screen and more capable, So I choose Note 3 because size and weight are not important to me!

The Note 2 is the perfect size. If the Note 3 at the claimed “6.3 inches” is too big to comfortably hold from edge to edge in one hand, then it is no longer a phablet, and useless in its function. I will not hold such a “phone” with two hands, that makes it a tablet.

  8. jdub says:

The note series “phones” are ridiculous. Any phone that is that large is guess what, a tablet. While i like the specs on the note 3 it doesnt compare to tablets and is too large to use practically as a cell phone. Im waiting for the s4 or a descent sized quad core phone to be released in the US. The only thing out so far is the new nexus.

I just want to note that I wish Samsung would add a detachable
bluetooth ear phone on their phablets. One that is ready to use upon detachment and is placed within the contour shape on the side of the phablet body.
