Galaxy S3 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for select few

#

The Samsung Galaxy S3 has proven to be a hugely successful smartphone for the company and since its release the device has been improved further by a number of firmware updates. The most recent was the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean software that brought with it features that was first found on the Galaxy Note 2, but owners of the Galaxy S3 in the US are still waiting for the Android update.

The International version of the Galaxy S3 received the 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update in December, and Samsung added what it calls the Premium Suite of new features, with the standout option being Multi-Window that was first seen on the Galaxy Note 2 and allows users to run two applications at the same time on the display.

Since then there has been a couple of minor updates that have fixed some bugs, namely the Clipboard crash problem that has been affecting some users. But again owners of the handset in the US are still waiting for the later version of the operating system to be released, and once it has they will then have to wait for the various carriers to get their act together and push it out to end users.

Earlier this month the Verizon version of the software leaked but lacked the Premium Suite of features, and had a build date of January 19th. At the time it was wondered if the extra features had simply not been added yet, but some were worried US customers would miss out on Premium Suite, although this does seem extremely unlikely.

Meanwhile owners of the Galaxy S3 are gearing up for the release of the next version of Jelly Bean that is tipped to arrive shortly after the release of the Galaxy S4. Hopefully US users will get the 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update soon, and Samsung may be looking to improve things in the future for owners of their handsets in the country considering the S4 is being launched in New York

Just got mine about 2 hours ago but none of the features are there absolutely none. The only different is when you tap on the version it shows a red jellybean and saids 4.1.2. anyone else has this problem?

Same, just installed the update and I notice nothing new. Is it too much to ask that some release notes be displayed upon installation? A link? Something?
