iPhone 5S visualization may not be far off the mark

#

The Apple iPhone 5S is the subject of much debate at the moment. Although many of us expect it to be not much more than a refresh of the iPhone 5, others are hoping for more. The iPhone 5S is widely tipped for an introduction in June and a release in July although nothing is yet confirmed. However, while we wait we thought we’d show you this iPhone 5S visualization that may not be too far off the mark.

We really enjoy looking at concept phone designs from time to time as they can give us some great ideas on what the real deals could look like. They often have fanciful lists of specs though, that mark them out as mockups and nothing more. However this latest design from Deepak Ahuja not only looks good but has a more realistic specs sheet. Whether these specs are a bit more than anticipated for the iPhone 5S and are more likely to come to the iPhone 6 remains to be seen but we like what we see.

As you can see from Ahuja’s renderings his iPhone 5S is not too far away from the present iPhone design and is 7.3mm thick/thin and weighs 111g, very slightly slimmer and lighter than the iPhone 5. Specs-wise we’re looking at a 1.2GHz Apple A6 quad-core processor, PowerVR SGX543 MP3 graphics and a 4.3-inch IPS LCD display with 1280 x 1080 resolution.

Other specs of this concept include 2GB of RAM, 16, 32 or 64GB internal storage options, a 12-megapixel iSight rear camera with LED flash and 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera with 720p @30fps video, 4G LTE connectivity with nano SIM and a 2800 mAh battery. It would be running iOS 7 and come in black or white color options. You can perhaps see what we mean when we say this specs are not so far-fetched as to be totally unbelievable though a few of them are maybe a bit of a stretch and not likely to come until the iPhone 6.

It will certainly be interesting to compare this concept with the real thing when it finally arrives and see just how much Ahuja got right. Deepak Ahuja has come up with some really impressive concepts lately and you may also be interested in our previous article about his Samsung Galaxy S5 design.

We’ll be keeping you up to date with further developments, rumors and leaks about the next iPhone so do check back with us from time to time to find out what else may be coming. We’d love to hear what you think about this latest concept design. Would you purchase the iPhone 5S if it looked like this and had this specs sheet? Let us know with your comments.
