Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs Sony Xperia L4 Togari

#

It is hard to put two smartphones / phablets against each other that have not yet been announced, but the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs Sony Xperia L4 Togari seems to be a tackle that we very much like.

We mentioned the Sony Togari a while back but since then heard nothing, but today we can reveal a little more about the Sony Xperia L4 Togari. We have to take this as a rumour for now seeing as no official confirmation from Sony has been made yet.

There have been a few sources including GizBot claiming they heard from reps at Sony events that the Sony Xperia L4 Togari is real, and apparently this will take on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, we are looking forward to this one.

We know for sure the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will have a stylus, and the L4 Togari is apparently going to have the same. The Sony Xperia L4 Togari is speculated to feature a 6.44-inch 1920×1080 IPS display, MBE-2, OptiContrast, 3 GB RAM, 13-megapixel Exmor RS camera on the rear and a 2MP on the front with Full HD Exmor R.

It will apparently also include a 2.3 GHz MSM8974 krait 800 CPU (Hopefully Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 or Snapdragon 800 processor), Adreno 330, 3500mAh battery, 32GB Internal Memory, 4G LTE, Stylus, IR blaster and NFC.

We have no idea if this is real but it seems to be a worthy contender to go up against the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the speculated specs for the SGN 3 include a 5.9 to 6.3-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, 13-megapixel camera, Android 4.3 or 5.0 Key Lime Pie, 3GB of RAM, TouchWiz, Mali 450 GPU and a Octa-core processor.

We are hoping the Sony Xperia L4 comes to light and a reveal will happen at the IFA expo in Berlin at the end of August.

If there was a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs Sony Xperia L4 Togari, which one would you choose?

It’s the Galaxy Note 3 for me. Being a current Galaxy Note 2 owner means Samsung owns this space. It’s a proven product not a new comer to the industry. I go with proven products.

If you ask him to list all the phones he’s owned over the past 3 years, he’ll tell you one of them was a “legendary” Evo 3D on Sprint. The very same Evo 3D that he “knew” would be “Sprint’s flagship device well into 2012”, but was pulled from all shelves after not even 2 months into the year.
He stated he goes with “proven products” (whatever the heck that means) and yet he owned a product that flopped just as bad as the Kyocera Echo.

I’ve had various iPhones over the last few years – and I’m bored. I can’t even imagine the over-rumoured iPhone 6 next year being able to keep up with something like the Galaxy Note 3 in terms of features. But I’m not tech-savvy, so I’d love to some advice from those of you who are. Whether it’s a GN3 or even a Sony Xperia, is it worth it to quit Apple products and start expanding my communication-device-horizon?

1080p, better cam sensor, 3GB RAM, SOLD!! Just please don’t cram more garbage in there cause of the extra RAM. I usually roll stock ROM so I hope Verizon doesn’t make bad changes like they supposedly have done to the GS4.

  4. Paul says:

The Evo 3d was made by HTC, what would that have to do with Samsung not having a proven product with the Galaxy line. Seems pretty proven to me. When the note 2 is in the discussion for the best cell phone out there right now, that’s enough proof for me.

Both are probably too big, but if I had to choose, it would be Togari. The build quality alone, which would most likely be much better than on the Note III(which will be an enlarged version of the SGS 4), would justify that choice.

Then you are not the audience for the phablet if you base the one dimensional look of the xperia z to the unknown yet to be unveiled Note 3.

  6. Sony fan 1 says:

I have been a die hard Sony fan and have be waiting religiously for the Togari. I only own Sony products, from the first handycam, walkman, minidisc player, to my sony S-series laptop, and my current Sony Xperia Arc phone. I love Sony 🙂

  7. Waiting For Togari says:

I’d go with the Togari, can’t help but be proud that my brand is taking on the challenge. Deep in me, I knew that Sony would be coming back with a bang! Been holding on to my Xperia Arc for 2 years now, would not hurt to wait a bit more for the real deal 🙂
