Sony Xperia Z Ultra priced and dated for UK

#

While the company may have yet another new handset in the pipeline the supersized Sony Xperia Z Ultra has gained a lot of attraction since Sony announced the handset. As always now the handset may have been unveiled but the pricing and availability were a little vague, but now the Sony Xperia Z Ultra has been priced and dated for the UK.

The smartphone was recently launched in India and its availability is spreading as online retailer Unlocked Mobiles has put the handset up for pre-order in the UK. The handset is priced at a colossal £599.98 including VAT with a release date down for September 12th.

By the time the handset becomes available we should have a clearer idea to what the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be like even if the handset hasn’t been released yet, so there may be a few consumers not wanting to commit to the Sony until all is known about the next phablet device form Samsung.

Those ordering the Sony Xperia Z Ultra from the retailer will also be treated to the Sony SBH20 Stereo Bluetooth Headset, and the handset is covered by a two year manufacturer warranty. To quickly recap the device features a 6.44-inch Full HD Triluminos touchscreen display with the quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor under the hood that is clocked at 2.2GHz.

There is also 2GB of RAM along with 16GB of built in storage that can be expanded by a further 32GB via microSD card, and camera wise there is an 8-megapixel rear facing shooter with an Exmor RS sensor and a 2-megapixel unit around the front.

The handset only measures 6.5mm thick while weighing 212grams despite that massive screen real estate, and owners will also be treated to a FM radio, 3,050 mAh battery, NFC, and Wi-Fi 820.11 a/b/g/n.

Will you be getting the Sony Xperia Z Ultra or is just too big?
