Oppo R819 confirmed with choice of ROMs provided

The Oppo R819 is an Android dual-SIM smartphone that has just been officially announced. A feature that may interest potential buyers is a choice of ROMs, one a customized Color ROM soon to be available, the original Oppo ROM, and also stock Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. One thing that will become immediately obvious when picking up this handset is its extremely light weight of only 110g. Despite the lightness of the phone and its mere 7.3mm thickness, the Oppo R819 still manages a 4.7-inch OGS LCD display with 720p resolution and 312 ppi. It’s powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (non-expandable).

The Oppo R819 also has an 8-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video capture as well as a 2-megapixel front-facing camera with 88 degree wide-angle lens. It features two microSIM cards, dual-standby support, 2G quad-band support, 3G tri-band support, and has a 2000 mAh battery.

Oppo is set to release the phone in early September and pre-orders are already available online. It will be available in three countries when it first launches. They are Australia at a price of A$399, Hong Kong where it’s priced at HK$2,798 and Japan at a price of 36,000 Yen. You can see more details at Oppo here.
