HTC One mini AT&T release countdown

#

There is a growing trend lately for manufacturers to come up with mini versions of popular smartphones and the HTC One Mini is one such example. There’s a lot of anticipation for this handset and today we have news on the HTC One Mini AT&T release countdown and price.

The HTC One Mini will release in various regions worldwide and AT&T has just announced that it will offer the phone in the US, confirming earlier rumors. The phone will go on sale on August 23 at a price of $99.99 on the usual two-year contract. The HTC One Mini looks very similar in design to its older sibling but obviously has a smaller form factor and also has scaled-down specs.

Specs for the One Mini include a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 dual-core processor, 4.3-inch display with resolution of 1280 x 720, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage (non-expandable). It also carries a 4-megapixel rear camera, 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera, LTE, a 1800 mAh battery, and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Some of the features for the HTC One Mini include HTC Zoe camera technology, the BlinkFeed user interface and BoomSound speakers. Those who admire the standard HTC One may also be interested to read about the HTC One Max that is also on the way, a larger version to complete the family.

We’re always interested to hear from readers, so are you an AT&T customer pleased to hear that the HTC One Mini is coming to your carrier in the next few days? Do you think the pricing on AT&T is competitive for this phone?

No, as a person who works in an AT&T store, I am not excited. The HTC one is a premium phone and the best phone HTC has ever made, but HTC is not a premium brand. HTC has had a lot of issues with their phones over the past few years and customers and sellers alike are hesitant to adopt them. the one should have been marked down to 99 dollars already. At 99 dollars it would be flying off the shelf. I think the mini will sell well because it is filling a 99 dollar void, but that will not help the original one compete against the s4.
