There are some exceptional smartphones being released in India now, and Intex has just announced another addition to the market with a phone that has impressive specs at a very competitive price. The Intex Aqua i7 smartphone for India has now been launched, and we have the price and specs ahead.
The phone was launched by popular actor/director Farhan Akhtar in Mumbai and looks as though it will be a device that will attract many buyers. The Aqua i7 is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6589 Turbo quad-core processor, and we should bear in mind that this is an improved processor than that offered by the very popular Micromax Canvas 4 that sported a 1.2GHz version of the same chip.
Other specs include 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (24.8GB user available), a 5-inch Full HD IPS display with 1920 x 1080 resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection, and it runs the Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
It also features dual SIM support, a 2000 mAh battery, and carries a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and autofocus as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Aqua i7 is available in black or white color options.
The Intex Aqua i7 releases on September 9, which of course is today, at a price of Rs. 21,900. Intex is also offering free accessories with a value of Rs. 5,500 to purchasers of the Aqua i7, including a flip cover and screen guard.
This seems excellent pricing considering the Aqua i7 is the first Indian-made smartphone to feature 2GB of RAM, and many other flagship devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One and others with the same RAM are much more expensive.
The phone is already for sale on Snapdeal at a lesser price of Rs. 20,900 but this doesn’t seem to include the free accessory package. As the phone arrives for retail today you may want to wait to check out further pricing.
We have many readers in India and are always happy to receive your comments. Are you a potential buyer for the Intex Aqua i7 smartphone? Are you pleased to see a phone offering 2GB of RAM and a Full HD display at such a good price?
