#

Many owners of the Samsung Galaxy S4 are eagerly waiting for the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update to arrive for their devices. The official update is not yet available, but the Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 update is now available with the CM10.2 ROM. This CyanogenMod Nightly ROM is compatible with the Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 model.

If you enjoy customizing your device and are confident with flashing ROMs then you can benefit from this CM10.2 Jelly Bean 4.3 custom ROM firmware for your Galaxy S4 I9500. We must point out that this is not official firmware and is a Nightly rom in the development stage, so you need to take into account that it may have the odd bug.

We recently informed that Samsung says the official 4.3 update will begin rolling out for both the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4 at some point in October. However regions will vary and we often find that carrier updates can take quite a bit longer to arrive.

This new Nightly CM10.2 build has more features than the previous build and will give you a stock Android 4.3 Jelly Bean experience. If you want to proceed with installing this ROM you need to use an unlocked and rooted handset and should backup your device before you begin.

You will also need to install the latest USB drivers and ensure that the USB debugging feature is enabled and we also recommend you have at least 80% battery charge on your phone.

Before we go any further we wish to point out that if you choose to use this custom ROM then you do so at your own risk and it is your responsibility if anything goes amiss. At Phones Review we cannot endorse the use of ROMs and recommend that readers wait for official updates.

Nevertheless we know that many Android device users among our readers enjoy this aspect of owning a smartphone, so like to give readers the relevant information so that they can make an informed decision.

Now that bit’s over we’ll stress once more that this CM10.2 ROM is for the Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500, so please check the model number of your device before you begin. If you’re unsure, you need to head to Settings followed by About Phone.

You should also have a custom recovery tool installed on your device such as CWM (ClockworkMod) or TWRP and perform a Nandroid backup. From this point you’ll need to head to Vickyz.com here where you will find the download links for the CM10.2 Android 4.3 ROM as well as Google Apps. You will also see full pre-requisites for installing the ROM as well as step-by-step instructions.

We’re always interested to hear how readers get on when installing custom ROMs, and it can be helpful for other readers to find out about your experience, so please do send us your comments. If you choose to install this CyanogenMod 10.2 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean ROM on your Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500, how did it go, and what do you think of the results?

I always enjoy reading up on the latest Roms, their procedures to install and most importantly-PRECAUTIONS. As it is so very important to follow each and every step along the way… please, when it comes time to flash an actual .zip that you are 100% certain you’ve got the right one for your device….
