Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 update delayed for some

#

We have been getting used to hearing about various problems affecting owners of certain Samsung smartphones in the last few days, and today we have news about the Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update being delayed for some owners.

Since last month we have been seeing a number of handsets receiving the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update, and more recently these have included a number of Samsung smartphones. Various problems have seen two of these software rollouts for the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4 pulled in some regions.

We have now seen both the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 updates continue in the US, but now Australian carrier Telstra has changed its previous estimate for the release of the firmware for the Galaxy Note 2.

The release date has been moved from tomorrow to almost Christmas on December 23rd, and this will surely be for some extra testing on the firmware before the operating system is officially released to the public.

While many users of the Galaxy Note 2 on the carrier will be a little disappointed with the delay, it will be far better than downloading and installing the software that is riddled with bugs and then left waiting for an update to improve things.

This is what a number of Galaxy S3 owners are experiencing with problems including poor battery life, serious phone lag, handsets completely freezing, poor music payback via the Samsung app, and a number of other issues.

Would you rather the update be delayed to sort out any bugs?

Samsung first work on creating an update and the test it, it is then sent to the carriers who modify and the test it again and finally it is sent back to samsung for final testing and release. So the update before final release is tested at least 3 times, what i want to know is how everybody invoved missed most these bugs on an update they have been working on for over 5 months? The software people are letting down both the hardware developer and the general public, this is unacceptable.

Received the 4.3 update for my T-Mobile Galaxy S3 11-21-13. Very buggy. Keeps showing same download notifications even after I have cleared them out at least 10 times. Bad battery life, my Action Launcher app I had to Uninstall so I could call someone on my phone. Have tried rebooting many times. Really like the new features of 4.3, but the problems I’m having need to be fixed, they are very annoying.

I AM NOT BUYING A SAMSUNG EVER AGAIN!!! This is a Ridiculously endless wait for a major update. Samsung needs to get back to basics before releasing smartphones that wait for years for a major update.

I’m in Middle East, but i downloaded the N7100 firmware for India and installed it on my device. Its been a week. I don’t have any issues, but i don’t see any battery improvements. Very minor changes in terms of interface and no changes on Note specific applications. Infact some bugs that appeared from 4.1.2 update have been fixed. Overall this update is okay. Few things i don’t understand.

1.Why there are screen lock widgets if they are disabled if you apply any type of security? if you leave it open .. only then you can use them.
2.Was there really need to bloatware like Learning Hub, Knox, Samsung wallet, can’t they be apps i can download from the play store.
