Last year December 2012 we reported about the new YotaPhone E-Ink Dual Screen smartphone for Russia, and now one year on the handset has finally at last hit the market for Europeans, but sadly USA is MIA and will miss out for now.
The YotaPhone is definitely different with its normal LCD display, but it also has an e-Ink display, the ‘YotaPhone Goes On Sale Launch Event’ live stream video can be view below this article. The handset will go on sale in Russia and Europe today and the price tag €499 (19,990 RUB).
The new smartphone goes on sale in Russia, Germany, France, Austria and Spain, there is a total of 20 markets in Europe and the Middle East by Q1 2014. USA are going to miss out on the YotaPhone, there is nothing saying Americans will miss out totally, it just means the country will miss out for the first batch roll out.
What are the Yotaphone Specs like?
Well, this handset comes with a 4.3-inch 720×1280 front display, on the rear is a 4.3-inch 360×640 EPD, 16 grayscale; capacitive touch zone below the EPD for gesture controls, Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2, Dual Core 1.7 GHz Krait Snapdragon S4 CPU, 13MP rear camera with AF and LED flash, the front facing camera is only 1MP.
