The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a massively popular device and has loyal fans worldwide. On the other hand the Sony Xperia Z1S was just made official, a refreshed version of the flagship Xperia Z1. Today we have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs. Sony Xperia Z1S specs look.

If you’re considering buying a new Android smartphone then the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is already likely to be on your shortlist, unless you’re not a fan of larger handsets that is. It’s widely available in regions across the world.

The Sony Xperia Z1S on the other hand, will be exclusively available on T-Mobile for the US, with a release date of January 22. These are both notable devices so we’ll give the key details for each to see how they compare.

Processors
The Galaxy Note 3 is powered by either a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor or a 1.9GHz Exynos 5 Octa-core processor. It has Adreno 330 graphics or Mali T-628 MP6 graphics (both GPU and CPU are dependent on region). The Xperia Z1S has a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor and Adreno 330 graphics.

Display
There’s a large 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 and 386 ppi for the Galaxy Note 3. The Xperia Z1S has a 5-inch Triluminous display that also has Full HD resolution and it has 441 ppi.

RAM and Storage
The Note 3 has 3GB of RAM and comes with 16, 32 or 64GB of internal storage that’s expandable via microSD to 64GB. The Xperia Z1S has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, also expandable via microSD to 64GB.

Camera Set-Up
The Galaxy Note 3 totes a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, image stabilization and HDR, and also a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The Xperia Z1S has a 20.7-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, image stabilization and HDR, as well as a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Battery
The Note 3 has a 3200 mAh battery while the Xperia Z1S has a 3000 mAh battery.

Operating System
The Galaxy Note 3 runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and will be upgradeable to Android 4.4 KitKat. This is exactly the same for the Xperia Z1S.

Of course this doesn’t take into account the many features that are available for both of these smartphones but as you can see from this specs run through, both of these devices have plenty to recommend them. Ultimately, any choice between the two might come down to screen size preference or personal choice of design and build.

    This entire blob of words is a waste of time to even read unless you subscribe to T Mobile. Again Sony proving how much they SUCK like when their cameras etc. could only use XD Pro cards forcing consumers to have no choice if they want something else they haven’t approved for their crap. But Sony grew some brains when their cameras arr now able to use SD cards. Sony is overpriced cheap crap not even eorth looking at. SONY SUCKS
