Nokia Lumia 1320 vs Sony Xperia T2 Ultra in most admirable

#

There are a few 6-inch Android smartphones on the market now, and two of them that offer a lot of interesting features includes the Nokia Lumia 1320 and the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra, these are great phones to put side-by-side to see what one comes out on top.

It is safe to say these two handsets are right in the middle of the tablet and smartphone, and even though many suggest these as being tablets rather than smartphones we have to say the word ‘Phablet’ is more suited. Some may say they are high-end products, but we will let you be the judge on this one because some believe they are merely mid-range smartphones going by the specs and price.

We are going to take a look at the specs to see if the Lumia 1320 or the Xperia T2 Ultra and with Admirable being the word here we are going to see what one wins the deserving, respect and approval vote.

When it comes to size the Xperia T2 Ultra 165.2 x 83.8 x 7.7mm is thinner than the Nokia Lumia 1320 164.2 x 85.9 x 9.8mm, the Sony is also lighter at 171.7 grams compared to the 1320’s 220 gram — WINNER = Sony Xperia T2 Ultra.

The Nokia Lumia 1320 has a 6-inch ClearBlack 720 x 1280 display with 245ppi, the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra also has a 6-inch 720 x 1280 BRAVIA engine 2 / Triluminos display with the same ppi — WINNER — This is a hard one really, even though they both have the same size / resolution / ppi, we would stick our neck out and have to say the Sony wins in picture clarity — there is not a lot in it. So we will call this a DRAW.

Now lts move onto the photography side of things, the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra comes with a 13MP camera on the rear featuring scene modes, LED flash, 1080p video @ 30fps, panorama and HDR. It also comes with a 1.1MP camera on the front. The Lumia 1320 only has a 5MP on the rear, also has 1080p video @ 30fps and only a mere 0.3-megapixel on the front — WINNER = It would have to be the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra hands down.

There is a dual core 1.7 GHz processor with 1GB of RAM on the Nokia Lumia 1320 running Windows Phone 8 Black, and the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra has a quad core 1.4 GHz processor with 1GB of RAM running Android Jelly Bean 4.3 — WINNER = Sony Xperia T2 Ultra.

One of the most important things with a smartphone is the battery, the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra has a 3000 mAh battery and the Nokia Lumia 1320 comes with a 3400 mAh battery. In comparison they offer around about the same amount of talk / standby time — This one is a DRAW even though the battery sizes are different.

Other specs differences
Both the Xperia T2 Ultra and Lumia 1320 comes with 8GB of built in storage, they do come with a MicroSD. However, the Sony can be upgradable to 32GB but the Nokia Lumia 1320 can support cards up to 64GB — WINNER = Nokia Lumia 1320.

In the specs comparison the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra looks like the most interesting, but this is obviously down to the individual. The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra price comes in at around £339 and the Nokia Lumia 1320 price is about £260, so if it’s all about the price the Nokia clearly wins, but for specs the Sony wins.

We would prefer the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra even thought the Nokia Lumia 1320 is better value for money. If the above smartphones interest you please do visit our other articles — You may want to read our Sony Xperia Z1 vs T2 Ultra.

  1. Visio says:

Worst Review i have ever seen. 1st of all Lumia 1320 is a Windows phone and not Android (Correct your 1st line). Performance wise both phone is similar. Don’t think T2 ultra has Quad core processor and Lumia 1320 has dual core so quad core will be better. But practically Windows require less power than android. So even tough 1320 is dual core, its the winner (Bot has almost similar performance but Windows will be more faster for long run. Because after few update Android will be slower)
