#

While Nokia has been busy in the last few months releasing new smartphones the company has also been providing new firmware updates for its hardware that is already available, and today we have news that the Nokia Black update hits both the Nokia Lumia 520 and Lumia 720.

The new update for the operating system begun its journey at the beginning of this month for the likes of the Nokia Lumia 1020 and Lumia 925, and more recently the Nokia Black update started to reach the Lumia 625.

Now the company has confirmed the update has started to rollout to the Nokia Lumia 520 and Lumia 720, and also brings the Windows Phone GDR3 update as well. The improvements to the Windows Phone side of things include Bluetooth 4.0 LE support as well as the option of closing applications from the app switcher menu, and also a screen rotation lock.

The Nokia Black side of things brings Nokia Storyteller and Driving Mode, but the device will miss out on the likes of Nokia Beamer and Nokia Refocus as these require 1GB of RAM. The update has been reported to have landed in India already, but you can manually check to see if it is ready for your handset yet by selecting Phone update via the Settings menu.

Nokia has a support page for the update here that gives full instructions for the update, and the full list of new features.
