Sony Xperia final software support update list

#

Just visited Sony Mobile and it looks like a lot of Sony Xperia smartphones have come to its end for future software support updates.

Older Sony smartphones such as the Xperia S, Arco S, Xperia Go, Miro, P, J, Ion, Arc S, Tipo, Xperia U, SL, S and Xperia Sola will no longer be getting software support.

If you take a look at the Sony Xperia S support page (Link below) for example it says at the bottom of the page ‘Latest & final version – Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) 2013-05’ and there are many more that have come to its end for future updates.

The phones above will no longer be getting upgrades because they are of a certain age now, the Xperia Blog reports that if the phones are between 18 months and two years old then support will no longer carry on.

If you own any of the Sony smartphones above then it is bad news if you was expecting a new Android software update, but it is better to know what is happening rather than waiting in the dark of what may come.

Please do visit this page and then click on your relevant smartphone, once you have done this click on ‘Software Updates’, once on the page just scroll to the bottom and look for ‘Latest & final version’.

Are you upset that your Sony smartphone is no longer going to receive software support updates?
