Chromecast update, AllCast fix for embedded YouTube playback

#

Google Chromecast is expected to release in the UK next month if all goes according to plan, and the good news is that the streaming device for Android users will go on sale with the likes of Currys. There have been a few updates lately including AllCast and YouTube.

When it comes to Chromecast a few news updates are being announced, the UK release, AllCast update, the launch of the streaming device in Australia with content via Telstra and now a new update that allows users to stream embedded videos to their HDTVs.

The new embedded YouTube video playback feature has been tested and seems to work fine, all Google Chromecast users can now get the full support of all embedded YouTube videos.

Chromecast users must remember that they need the YouTube app version 4.5.17 or higher on Android, or for iOS users they need 1.4 or higher. If you want to learn more about streaming embedded content to the HDTV please do visit this support page.

Do NOT forget that you need to have cast extension installed on your Google Chrome browser if you wish to cast from YouTube. Whilst on the subject, the AllCast app has had an update that now fixes AllCast running and eating battery when YouTube or Netflix are in use.

Are you waiting for any special update on your Google Chromecast?
