RunKeeper app for Android receives update changes

Many readers will have heard of the hugely popular RunKeeper app and the RunKeeper app for Android has just been updated. We have details of the changes and improvements that this latest version of the app brings.

Over 25 million people now use RunKeeper — GPS Track Run Walk, and just in case you haven’t heard of it the app is like having your own convenient personal trainer. It enables users to track their fitness activities such as running, cycling, hiking and more and access detailed stats for various factors such as pace, calories burned and times.

The app will notify you when you achieve a new personal best or reach a milestone and measure your progress against your targets. You can also share your RunKeeper stats, achievements and more via Facebook and Twitter.

The latest update brings a new Training Tab, which offers a free training plan that suits your own fitness goals. It allows you to easily follow a training schedule and gives audio coaching. Another improvement is an updated Me Tab where you can conveniently access your stats and workout history in one place.
