iOS 7.1 problems since download

#

Yesterday we told you that Apple had released the latest version of its mobile operating system to address a number of issues and provide some changes to the UI, but there seems to be some iOS 7.1 problems since the download.

One issue we have been contacted about is the fingerprint scanner on the iPhone 5S not working at all now, and over on the Apple Support Communitiesthere there are some owners of the iPhone 4S complaining of the handset getting hot now since the update despite most of the apps being closed down.

There have been many users complaining of getting an error message when trying to download iOS 7.1, but that can be expected as millions of users rush to get the new firmware as soon as it has been released.

It seems that the update has addressed many of the other problems that were affecting users though namely battery life, but its early days yet and more issues could come to light as more users download the software.

Have you had any problems since the iOS 7.1 download?

I’ve actually been having this problem where my keyboard won’t respond immediately for up to 30 seconds no matter what I do. I can still type… sort of; it just takes an insanely long time. If anybody knows how to fix this, please help!

YES! Problems with iOS 7.0.6 and iOS 7.1. We have iPhones 5 and 5s. Both operated perfectly until the downloads. Then; rapid battery depletion, even when not in use and a “hot” battery on the iPhone 5. I contacted Apple Support personnel and went through two hard re-boots and two complete restores. I had an appointment with an “Apple Genius” and was informed that our 5 and 5s iPhones were operating okay by their diagnosis. I was provided a new 5s iPhone as it was under warranty. However, the same problem exists with the new 5s iPhone. Some friends who have 5 series iPhones report no issues and others; the same battery problems. I have even gone to AT&T to determine if it is an issue with them. They said no and that the iPhone battery seems okay and my minimal usage should not deplete the battery at the late I’m experiencing. IT IS A MESS!!
