Nokia X Android adoption is a big hit

#

Nokia recently moved away from the Windows Phone platform to bring out an Android handset, in the form of the very affordable Nokia X. It now appears that was a very good move by the company as the Nokia X Android adoption is a big hit with buyers.

The Nokia X release is rolling out as we speak to various markets of the world, and there was a lot of anticipation for the device as it represents Nokia’s first move into an Android-based phone. It uses a special Nokia X software platform based on Android, that also offers Nokia and Microsoft services.

A few days ago we shared a video showing the Nokia X UI that you might want to check out, as this gives a good idea of the software experience. Nokia will be pleased that the move into Android has paid off as the device is seeing a lot of demand, and the company recently asked what people liked best about the Nokia X.

Fans of the device were asked about their favourite feature of the phone via the official Nokia blog, and the aspect that has impressed most people is that it can run Android apps. Just over a fifth of participants (20.1%) voted this as the top feature, while Nokia apps such as HERE Maps and Mix Radio came second on 15.69%.

The feature that gained third place was the distinctive Nokia design on 13.62%, and in fourth spot was Fastlane on 13.36%. These were followed by the affordable price with 9.34% and then Microsoft apps such as Outlook and Skype on 6.87% followed by the fact that it’s a dual SIM handset (6.1%). Are you thinking of buying the Android-based Nokia X?
