HTC One M8 touch response performance amazes

#

Something that doesn’t often get covered in reviews about new devices regards display touch latency, but if you were thinking of purchasing the new HTC One M8 flagship, here’s yet another reason to do so. The HTC One M8 touch response time has now been measured and the results are pretty impressive.

You’re more likely to notice display touch response time when touches often fail to register quickly, so it’s worth knowing that a device you’re about to buy does well on this score. The touch latency measure for the HTC One (M8) has now been given and it comes in at just 46ms.

That’s an amazingly quick response when compared with some of the other high-end handsets out there. For example the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 manages 67ms, the Apple iPhone 5/5S scores 75ms and the LG G2 attains 110ms. The chart here shows the tactile response of many of the older smartphones available.

It will certainly be interesting to see how the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Sony Xperia Z2 fare once the same test is applied to them, but it certainly looks like the newest top-notch devices are getting faster in this respect. Are you impressed at the high score achieved by the HTC One M8 for touch latency?
