The mid-range Xolo Q1010i smartphone officially launched for India in April running the Android 4.2 Jelly operating system out of the box. Now owners of the device will be pleased to hear that the Xolo Q1010i Android 4.4 update is now rolling out.

It’s always good to be able to bring news of OS updates and Android KitKat is a notable upgrade from Jelly Bean. The update is being pushed out in the form of Android 4.4.2 KitKat, and device owners will receive it as an OTA (over-the-air) update.

Android 4.4.2 for the Xolo Q1010i is 298MB in size, and the update brings many improvements and changes. Just a few of these are a new phone dialer, revamped status and navigation bars, printing support, and performance and stability enhancements.

If you don’t want to wait for notification of this update for the Xolo Q1010i you can choose to download it from Xolo’s support website. You can find out more about that and instructions at the source link below this article.

Xolo has also pledged that this update will also be rolled out at some point to the Q700S, Q1010 and Q3000 and it already arrived for the Q1000. You may also be interested in two of our recent articles on the Xolo Q1010i, one is a review and the other is an unboxing and overview video.
