Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+ Android 4.4 KitKat update incoming

It’s always good to be able to bring readers news of operating system updates for smartphones and tablets. Today we have excellent news for owners of the Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+, as the Android 4.4 KitKat update is incoming.

The dual SIM phone released a few months ago running Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, so the update to Android 4.4 will be a welcome upgrade. Alcatel announced the update on its Facebook India account, by saying that OneTouch Idol X+ existing Jellybean customers will receive the firmware update to Android 4.4 KitKat starting from August 15.

This will be available as an OTA (over-the-air) update and will make the Idol X+ an even more appealing proposition, but you might need to be a little patient as these updates usually roll out over several day, or even weeks. As a brief refresher the specs of this hone include a 2GHz octa-core processor, a 5-inch display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 and 441 ppi, and 2GB of RAM. It has a 13.1-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and 1080p video capture, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2500 mAh battery.

    I updated two time by simply checking updates and downloading from my phone…after finishing downloading which is 63.8 mb data….its getting failed at automatically installing time…what to do? please help me

    Kitkat firmware updated.
    Some Features has been Added,
    Callpad screen has been changed, Notification of Wifi, battery, and all other notifications at the top of mobile, Color has been changed from Green to WHITE.
    Lock Pattern Color has been changed.

    TWO features I liked the most is ZOOMING. one is Double tap to any document or message and just roll ur finger up-and -down, it will zoom in and zoom out respectively.

    second is in camera, touch and HOLD your finger on CLICK button, it will take the photos as many as you want. so by this feature, you will choose best from clicked photos.

    Hope you will get the kitkat update very soon and enjoy the beauty of ANDROID KITKAT on your Alcatel Onetouch idol x + device..

    Hey people…. A little info.

    Before you upgrade the firmware, make sure that all the apps installed on your system are updated via Play store and also ur device should not be jailbreaked. Only then u will be able to update the firmware.
