HTC Eye rumor mill starts to build

#

This article is really a snippet rather than a full story, as there’s really not too much to go on just yet. However, a new HTC smartphone has been leaked and it has “Eye” as its codename. The HTC Eye rumor mill has now started to build, and we have some initial details.

We first heard of this handset back in July when very little was known about the device, other than it was said to be heading for a release in Q4 and would have a ‘selfie’ camera. Now well-known leaker @upleaks has come up with a little more information, although sadly no images are available yet.

Unofficial HTC Eye specs include a Snapdragon 801 quad-core Krait 400 processor with Adreno 330 graphics. There’s also said to be a 5.2-inch display with resolution of 1080p resulting in 423 ppi. Earlier it was thought that this would be an Android handset but it’s now uncertain whether it will indeed be Android or whether it will be a Windows Phone device.

One suggestion is that it could be a larger version of the HTC One M8 launching with the Android L update. At this stage though it’s all rather vague, so it will certainly be interesting to see what pans out over the coming weeks and months with the HTC Eye.

Will you be waiting to hear more about this rumored HTC Eye smartphone? Are you hoping that this is a Windows Phone or Android handset? We’re always interested to hear what you have to say so do send us your comments.
