i updated on the day (i NEVER do that) but i was excited about third-party keyboards. not so excited. they only work partly (not for passwords). however, today, i noticed gestures wasn’t working properly. so my two favorite things about using my iPad are now … not so much. but when i think about how much technology i have in my hands (i’m a baby boomer) i get over my first-world problem and push a button.

Talk about getting skunked…and by Apple no less! This update to iOS 8 has pretty much rendered useless my iPad mini because of the touchscreen issues. And unfortunately I rely on my iPad mini for some critically important functions, namely I’m a private pilot and utilize the device in the cockpit for navigation. Since this update I’ve had to resort to other means for navigation. And even if/when Apple resolves this problem I won’t trust the device for a long time to come until I’m confident it’s working well.

Unbelievable that Apple would put out such a shoddy software update.
