Xolo Q2100 set to launch with Fingerprint scanner and 5.5-inch Display

#

The Xolo Q2100 is getting ready to make an appearance in India according to a new report and an appearance in the popular import/export site Zuaba. It’s another midranger, but it has a fingerprint scanner which is something you generally don’t find on your typical budget handset.

The Xolo Q2100 specs show a 5.5-inch HD (720p we assume) display, but it’s main claim to fame is the fingerprint scanner. At this time, there are no photos to show us the placement of the new sensor, but we assume it will be on the backside. You’ll also find an 8MP camera on the back while the front-facing shooter clocks in at 2MP. The device has an IR port as well, so you’ll be able to use it as a universal remote.

As mentioned, the Xolo Q2100 is a midrange smartphone so you’re looking at a MediaTek MT6582 quad-core SoC clocked at 1.3GHz. Rounding things out with the innards are 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and a 2,800mAh battery. Connectivity options for the Xolo Q2100 include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM Radio, aGPS, Dual-SIM connectivity and the usual array of sensors including one for ambient light.

There have been no leaked photos of the Xolo Q2100, and we don’t know a release date yet, but it’s expected to arrive in India in the very near future. The Xolo Q2100 price is around $219 which seems like a steal for an Android 4.4 handset with a fingerprint scanner.

What do you think about the Xolo Q2100 price and specs?
