Getting a new handset is exciting. That excitement can quickly go in the other direction when your new phablet hits the ground, and that’s why it’s always wise to protect your new device. With that in mind, we’re going to take a some new Nexus 6 cases and accessories as the first batch of goodies are just starting to appear online.

As with any hot new device, the Nexus 6 accessories are starting to show up on the net. Unlike the iPhone 6, the pickings are a bit sparse, but we’ve dug up a few good deals if you’re in the market for a Nexus 6 case or screen protector. Amazon has several cases listed, but none are in stock at this time.  The brands represented include SUPCASE, Spigen, and i-Blason, and all the cases are scheduled to be in stock in late November or early December.

If you prefer to go directly to the source, Spigen has four Nexus 6 cases listed with the Slim Armor Case, Neo Hybrid, Ultra Hybrid, and Thin Fit. Again, there’s no pricing or release date given for these, but they are by far the sleekest cases we’ve seen pop up thus far. There are a variety of colors available, and the Nexus 6 Slim Armor Case comes with a built-in kickstand.

On the screen protection side of things, it’s not much better in terms of quantity. Amazon has four types of Nexus 6 screen protectors listed, and they come from Supershieldz, Skinomi, i-Blason, and Invisible Defender. As you’d expect, none of these are in stock either, but a 6-pack of Nexus 6 screen protectors from Supershieldz is listed as coming on October 31^st.

You’ll be able to get your hands on the Nexus 6 in a few short weeks, and it’s never a bad thing to be prepared if you’re planning on picking up the expensive new handset.
