#

The Oppo Find 7 and Find 7a caused quite a stir when they released earlier this year. The Find 7a is a high-end flagship smartphone while the 7a version has slightly lesser specs but still packs a punch. We can now inform readers that the Oppo Find 7, Find 7A ColorOS 2.0 update is now available.

When these handsets arrived they were running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean skinned with Oppo’s ColorOS user interface. The ColorOS 2.0 firmware is based on Android 4.4 KitKat and arrived for the Oppo Find 5 in beta form in the summer. Now Oppo is seeding ColorOS 2.0 to the Find 7 (X9076) and Find 7a (X9006).

Just some of the enhancements that the new firmware brings to these phones are updates for stock apps, a Super Power Saving mode, UI design changes, Global Gesture Panel 2.0, and a redesigned Task Manager. You can read the whole change log with details of improvements at the Oppo source link below, where you’ll also find download links for the firmware along with instructions.

The design is a step above what I’ve seen of Oppo so far and I’ve certainly noticed a faster UI than 4.3 not that phone needs any further speed, it is quick on its own. A good effort from Oppo but it still lacks unified storage which is the biggest let down from Oppo.
