Samsung Gear S to have Special Device Plan on Sprint

#

Smartwatches will be everywhere this holiday season, and there are still plenty of questions surrounding standalone wearables like the Samsung Gear S. One of those questions may have been answered today as a new leak points towards special rates for the Gear S on Sprint.

The Samsung Gear S is Samsung latest wearable, and it is definitely one of their more fashionable smartwatches with its curved Super AMOLED display.  Last month we learned AT&T would have exclusive demo’s set up for the Gear S, and now we know a little more about how much a smartwatch plan will cost you.

A leaked document shows Samsung Gear S service plan pricing for Sprint, and there are basically two different options to choose from. For $9.99 a month, you’ll get 1000 minutes, 1000 texts, and 100MB of data with voice and data roaming included. Overages will cost you 40 cents per minute for voice, and 20cents per message for texts. Plan #2 is the Family Share Pack, and for $10 bucks a month you can share unlimited talk, text, and data with other devices on your plan.

This leak looks to be as legit as it gets, and it safe to say other carriers should follow suit with the Gear S. We still don’t know exactly when it will arrive, but at least we know how much a plan will cost. As more standalone smartwatches surface, it will be interesting to see how competitive pricing gets among carriers.
