The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook 10.1 is ready to roll at Barnes & Noble

#

Samsung has a lot of tablets, but before their slabs became so popular, there was the Nook. Sammy has teamed up with Barnes & Noble for the next-gen model of the Nook, and today the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook 10.1 at B&N and from the Nook website.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook is a 10.1-inch slate with a resolution of 1,280 x 800. It will suffice for reading and videos, but is a far cry from the FHD res found on most of Sammy’s tablets. The tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core SoC with 1.5GB of RAM, and comes with 16GB of storage.

That storage can be improved to 64GB through a microSD card slot and there’s a 3MP snapper on the back to go along with the 1.3MP front-facing sensor. The new Nook will get its juice from a 6,800mAh battery, and it comes with $200 worth of free content to get you started.

It makes sense for Nook to supersized the 7-inch model of its Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook, but unfortunately the specs stayed the same. It’s not the speediest tablet around, and with a $299 price tag, it’s not the cheapest either. If you think the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook 10.1 is worth a shot, it’s available starting today at Barnes & Noble stores and online.
