iPhone 6 Plus vs Nexus 6, big vs bigger

#

The trend towards larger smartphones was finally acknowledged by Apple this year with the release of a larger than usual new iPhone in the form of the iPhone 6 and an even larger phablet version, the iPhone 6 Plus. On the other hand one of the most eagerly awaited Android devices for the year also stepped up in size, meet the Google Nexus 6 made by Motorola. Today we have a video comparison to share of the iPhone 6 Plus vs. Nexus 6 or big vs. bigger.

The iPhone 6 Plus released in September and runs iOS 8, now upgradable to iOS 8.1. Meanwhile the Nexus 6 is of course an Android phone and will release soon running the latest version, 5.0 Lollipop. It’s an interesting proposition that just as Apple has come up with a larger iPhone the new Nexus handset is also notably larger than previous Nexus phones.

The YouTube video that we’ve embedded below this post for your viewing convenience comes from SuperSaf TV, a good source of knowledgeable device comparisons. The video begins by detailing the dimensions of the handsets, which shows the Nexus 6 is the larger of the two because of its bigger display and also quite a bit thicker. The comparison proceeds by looking at specs and features including the displays, builds, processors, and storage.

It then continues by discussing the camera capabilities of the two phablets, the software platforms, some of the individual features of each, battery life, pricing and more. We feel this comparison review offers some really useful insight into these two phones, although if you’re a stalwart of either the iOS or Android platforms your decision between them is probably already made.

If you can be swayed to either platform though, it would be interesting to hear which of these two phablets you are leaning towards most. You can see more on the iPhone 6 Plus here, or on the Nexus 6 here. Is your pick the Apple iPhone 6 Plus or the Motorola Nexus 6? Let us know with your comments.
