US buyers waiting for two of the latest HTC smartphones might be pleased with this next piece of news. We have details of HTC Desire 820 and Desire Eye SIM-free US availability as these phones have just arrived for sale on Expansys USA.

If it’s the mid-range HTC Desire 820 you’re interested in, we can tell you that Expansys now has this up for grabs with a price of $359.99. It’s available in Milky-way Gray or Santorini White color options. The 820 is also available from NewEgg for $377.90 as an alternative.

The dual SIM Desire 820 specs include a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, 5.5-inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage with microSD expansion. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front-facing unit, as well as support for 4G LTE connectivity.

Alternatively you may be interested in the HTC Desire Eye, which until now has only been available in the US as an AT&T exclusive. The giant carrier is selling the Desire Eye for $150 on a two-year contract or $549 with no contract. It’s also dust and water-resistant to IPX7 certification standard.

    The strength of the Desire Eye isn’t in its 13MP cameras but its unibody design and flagship-baiting specifications. The excellent screen and front-facing speakers mean this handset punches above its weight.
