The much talked about OnePlus One smartphone recently arrived for sale in India and to say it has been hotly anticipated would be an understatement. Launched for other regions earlier this year this phone aims to combine some great specs with competitive pricing. Now we have a OnePlus One unboxing of the Indian version so that you can see exactly what to expect.

The OnePlus One first released in June this year, although it has been pretty hard to get hold of as it’s offered through an invitation system. We recently gave our information lowdown on the launch of the phone for India where it’s being sold via a partnership between OnePlus and Amazon India. Before the unboxing we should say that one of the main draws of the OnePlus One has been the CyanogenMod ROM experience, and when the box for the handset is revealed you’ll be interested to see that it carries Cyanogen branding. There has been quite a stir in India about this over recent days as mentioned on the video, because it was announced that CyanogenMod updates wouldn’t be supported in the country because of a deal with Cyanogen and Micromax. However, it was recently reported that CyanogenMOD OTA updates would continue to be pushed out in India, good news for potential buyers.

Now for the unboxing and first you’ll see the complete packaging and then the opening of the box containing the charger followed by the opening of the main parcel. The handset sits in sleek-looking packaging and when taken out the phone is held alongside the global variant to see any differences. The other contents of the box are then revealed, such as the USB cable, SIM ejector tool, and user manual.

Next you’ll see the handset from different angles offering some all-round looks at the OnePlus One. Finally the device is powered on and there’s a mention that it’s pretty much the same as the global version but that there’s now warranty and support for India.
