E FUN unveils their new Nextbook Ares Android 5.0 Tablets

#

If you want an Android slate that runs Lollipop out of the box, you’re stuck with the Nexus 9 at the moment. That’s going to change soon with a slew of new tablets, and a name you might not be familiar with is gearing up to unleash four new Android 5.0 slates. Ready to say hello to the new E Fun Nextbook Ares series?

E Fun cranks out a large amount of tablets, and the E Fun Nextbook Aries series is their latest. There are four tablets in the lineup, and they are the company’s first series of tablets to arrive with LTE connectivity and an Intel chip… a couple of them anyway. With four sizes to choose from, there is a little something for everyone, and they will all run Android 5.0.

The biggest slate in the new Nextbook Ares series is the 11.6-inch model with a 1,366 x 768 IPS display. It gets its power from an Intel Atom Z3735F quad-core chip and 1GB of RAM, and you’ll get 64GB of storage to work with. 2MP cameras, a magnetic keyboard, and a variety of ports are included as well. The other 2-in-1 is the Nextbook Ares 10L which is a 10-inch LTE equipped slate that carries a resolution of 1,280 x 800. It has 16GB of storage, a Snapdragon 410, and 1GB of RAM under the hood to go along with a 2MP camera combo.

If you’re looking for something smaller, you can choose from the Nextbook Ares 8L or Nextbook Ares 8. Both tablets have 8-inch screens with a resolution of 1,280 x 800, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The Ares 8L has a Snapdragon 410 and dual 2MP cameras whereas the regular Ares 8 will have a quad-core MTK MT8217 SoC and dual cameras of an unknown resolution. Both rock Android 5.0, but the Ares 8L has LTE.

The new Ares tablet lineup is set to arrive sometime in May, and the Nextbook Ares 8 will go for $129 while the Ares 8L will set you back $199. On the other end of the spectrum is the 10-inch Ares 10L with its $229 price tag while the bigger Ares 11 is listed at $249.
