Nexus 6 Verizon release imminent, listed as Coming Soon

#

The Nexus 6 is by no means long in the tooth, but we’re already looking at a big new batch of smartphones headed our way after MWC next month. The Nexus 6 has become fairly easy to obtain in various regions of the world, unless you are in the US and roll with Big Red. Ready for a bit of news on the Nexus 6 Verizon release?

The Nexus 6 Verizon release has been something folks have wondering about since last year, and today the company slipped a “coming soon” message up on their website. They aren’t really advertising the device like you might expect either as you can only find it through a search which shows a small Nexus 6 banner. You can sign up for updates, but that’s all Big Red has for us at the moment.

In case you’ve been out of the loop, Verizon released the Droid Turbo which is basically a normal-sized Nexus 6 sans the stock Android. It’s made by Moto with a QHD panel and beastly specs, but locked to Verizon. The company obviously didn’t want to cannibalize their sales, so the Nexus 6 Verizon release has been held up.

While we still don’t have an official release date for the Verizon branded Nexus 6, the “coming soon” is better than nothing if you’ve longed to grab the handset on Big Red. That said, we do expect to hear something soon as one would assume they would want to get it out before the Galaxy S6 and the 2015 flagships arrive.

Are you still interested in the Nexus 6 or are you waiting for the new devices?
