The 10.1-inch Acer Iconia Tab 10 is announced for $249

There’s no shortage of Android slates in the states, but a new one is getting ready to land that’s well worth a look. It’s called the Iconia Tab 10, and its specs are fairly impressive when you consider its price.

The Acer Iconia Tab 10 can’t go head-to-head with the new Nexus 9 when it comes to power, but it’s certainly nothing to scoff at with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable (up to 128GB) internal storage. The display is large at 10.1-inches with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 and a newfangled type of anti-fingerprint coating. Other features to note include a 5MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera and a Dolby sound setup.

On the downside, the processor powering the Iconia Tab 10 is only a quad-core 1.5GHz MediaTek chip, which drags it down a bit when you consider the RAM and storage. In terms of connectivity, the slate has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and an HDMI port. We couldn’t find any information on the battery, but it will run Android 4.4 out of the box.

If you’re interested in snagging the Iconia Tab 10 in the states, it will only set you back $249. The company also has another model listed on the tablet’s page for $199 with a 1.3GHz quad-core chip, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage.
